Athens, Ga. – The Drexel divers returned to competition on day two of the prestigious Georgia Diving Invitational. Kate Hynes highlighted Drexel's performance on the boards with a second-place finish in the 1-meter trials (256.65). The sophomore standout went on to finish fourth overall in the final competition with 241.80 points. Hynes will return tonight to compete in the women's 1-meter shootout, which will be comprised of the top six divers from finals.
Senior Brett Molash continued to lead the Dragon men by recording a 14th-place finish in the men's 3-meter event. Molash's score of 247.30 was just short of the 12th-place finish required to advance to finals. Sophomore Jake Roberson returned on day two of competition and improved his placing, notching an 18th-place finish with 181.25 points. Roberson finished 21st in yesterday's 1-meter event.
The Dragons will be back in action on Saturday, January 13, when they host Binghamton at Drexel Pool. The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m.
